The name Tinbeerwah is thought to be derived from an aboriginal name meaning place of grass tree or high hill climbing up. Mount Tinbeerwah also has a nearby driving track that takes you to almost the top and has an easy stroll out to the lookout.
Tinbeerwah is an ever-growing rural residential area, very popular with ‘tree changers’ and has the added appeal of being so close to Noosa and its surroundings.
