Pinbarren is on the Sunshine Coast, 35 kilometres from the centre of Noosa Heads. It is located at the foot of Mount Pinbarren. The name Pinbarren appears to come from the Aboriginal name Pimperon. for the local mountain. It has a population of around 350 people and it’s southern boundary is marked by Six Mile Creek.
