As we wave goodbye to 2023 and usher in a new year, it is a perfect moment to reflect on the dynamic Noosa Hinterland real estate market. December has historically been the precursor to a flurry of activity, with buyers typically spending summer months researching potential homes, leading to a significant increase in enquiries come January and February.

Recent data from REA (realestate.com.au) highlights this trend, revealing a remarkable 23% increase in visits to their Buy section over the past three years, totalling 183 million in Summer 22/23. This surge in interest translates into a 5% rise in enquiries during January and February compared to the annual average and an 11% growth in summertime buyer enquiries over the last three years. Notably, 1 in 7 buy enquiries in January stem from buyers who first viewed the property in December.

Looking ahead the Noosa Hinterland market shows encouraging signs of growth. With an expanding population, partly fuelled by the return of overseas migration, and potential interest rate cuts in 2024, our region’s property demand appears robust.
