Black Mountain is a small Queensland rural location within the local government area of Noosa. With a population around 1500 people, it is located approximately 118km from the capital Brisbane, covering an area of 40 square kilometres. Black Mountain is located west of Cooroy and south of Pomona. It is part of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve and presumably takes its name from the mountain. Black Mountain is a mountain in the centre of the suburb rising to a peak of 312 metres above sea level. An immensely private location located only 11 mins to the well-known Eumundi markets and 27 minutes to the world-renowned Noosa Heads with its pristine beaches, popular cafés and boutique shopping spots.
